By WINK News

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lee County Sheriff's Office has announced they have arrested 35 year old Samuel “Sammy” Loudenslager. He is accused of the Thursday morning murder of Jerry Shawn Collins. It's a story you first saw on WINK.

Deputies say Loundenslager killed Collins with a single stab to his chest. Collins was found dead by deputies at his Crescent Lake Drive home in North Fort Myers.

Sunday's arrest of Loundenslager is his seventh arrests in Lee County since 2006 and his thirteenth arrest in Lee County since 1999.

Deputies say very early in the murder investigation they pinned Loundenslager as a suspect. Finally, Saturday night he was discovered at a mobile home park in North Fort Myers near the intersection of U.S. 41 and Del Prado Boulevard Extension. He was taken into custody, and then later arrested.

Samuel Joseph Loudenslager was booked into the Lee County Jail on a charge of second degree murder. Deputies have not said what led to the stabbing.
