No cooking on Mother's Day

By WINK Web Manager

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A lot of people were getting mom out of the kitchen this Mother's Day.

At First Watch in Downtown Fort Myers by nine Sunday morning all the tables were full. There was even a wait. Many restaurants have extra staff on Mother's Day because it's considered the busiest day of the year for breakfast spots.

"Normally the first church group wakes up around nine o'clock, we fill-up right around nine-fifteen or nine-thirty," First Watch Manager Dru Hanni told WINK News. He added, "we'll be busy until we close the doors at 2:30."

Many restaurants have special treats and deals on Mother's Day. At First Watch they handed out a box of chocolates to all the ladies.
