CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Six Cape Coral teens, who call themselves the Lee County Boys, were arrested and charged with racketeering. Police say they stole more than $100 thousand dollars worth of items from homes and cars and traded them for drugs and alcohol. One of the boy's fathers sat down with Cristin Severance and talked about his son's charges and how he wound up behind bars.
"I blame one person, Richard MacDonald Junior," says Richard MacDonald Senior. His son is in jail with five of his childhood friends. They called themselves the Lee County Boys. Police called them an organized crime ring.
"The Cape Coral Police Department warned my son and all those boys, they were going to get them. They did exactly what they said they were going to do," he says.
Police say they were behind more than 50 felonies. All six are facing racketeering charges or what the state attorney's office calls RICO.
"He asked, what’s RICO dad? RICO makes you a mobster. I tried to explain to him any crime the gang did, you’re responsible for," he says.
MacDonald says he just knew someday, someone was going to come to his door bearing bad news.
"You’re going to get two knocks. Either one Richard is dead or Richard is in jail. One of the two knocks are coming. I don't know what day, but it's coming," he says.

You better believe I blame the father. He was never around an the mother couldn't control her kid. Really... how much of a role model could these parents be if they had a swat team at their house because of selling drugs.

I used to live by one of them and I remember living in fear every time I left my house. Wondering if I would be the next one in my neighborhood to be robbed. I've never felt so unsafe, I hope they lock them up for good.

I remember when the police would come to their house looking for one of them and his parents would lie and say they weren't home. Their house was like a police sub-station. I know you want to protect your child, but isn't being a parent and showing your child right from wrong also an obligation. After 2 years of these kids breaking in houses and robbing many neighbors, the Cape Coral police department FINALLY stepped up and did their job. What I wonder is what took so darn long?

All of these boys deserve what they get. Even the one that they let walk free. They get all messed up on every different kind of drug, and BREAK INTO HOUSES AND STEAL THINGS! Why would ANYONE in there right mind stand up for these types of people, it is literally sickening. The sad thing is, these boys get a kick out of the cops showing up the next morning, blaming them for all the disturbances from the night before. They are what makes this world a disgusting place. Talk about worthless.

How is this possible? hmm maybe cuz there is NO such "Lee County Boys"!!! Im not saying each & evryone of thes boys are innocent, but i AM saying that each & evryone of these boys are NOT in such "gang"! FREE JUSTIN,JESSE,&LIL CHRIS!!

I went to school with some of these boys. I knew one of them personally, and even with all of these crimes on him I still love him to this day. They're not bad people, they just did some bad things. And if they don't regret it, that's their thing to deal with, not ours. They're getting what they deserve. And now, either they'll learn from it, or they'll go off a do worse. You just have to hope for the best, and I think my boy is going to come through just fine.

Maybe Cape Coral will get a better reputation since we got these so called-mobsters behind bars. They are probably the ones who made Cape Coral look like a crime neighborhood. Thank you Cops!

They should have searched dads car while he was there so they could yank another dirt bag off the street. I know him and can you say COKE HEAD. He had knowledge of those crimes I am sure. He admitted that he knew his son was going to jail someday...ask him why he says that...he knew!!

This interview is a big joke. Trust me I know. His father is the one that helped the boys sell the stolen stuff. He needs to be investigated also and asked about all the stolen goods.
