FORT MYERS, Fla. - When most of you go to vote for your congressional candidate in November, you'll have your pick of a Democrat and a Republican.

But your choices won't stop there.

In the past week, six people have qualified to run for Congress in Southwest Florida Districts, who are not Democrats or Republicans.

That includes Jeff George of Cape Coral. He's running in the 14th Congressional District, an area that runs the Gulf Coast from the middle of Collier County through Charlotte County.

George tells WINK News, "People are ready for a change. We've seen what the two parties have to offer. We need to get back to re-asserting the Constitution, and making sure America is affordable."

George is running against: fellow no party affiliated, State Senator Burt Saunders; write-in candidate Larry Byrnes; and Democrat Robert Neeld, all trying to un-seat Republican Connie Mack IV.
