FORT MYERS, Fla. - A fatal hit and run crash occurred at the intersection of Fowler Street and Hunter Street Friday evening. The crash involved a motorcycle and a car.

According to witnesses the driver of the motorcycle, Wilson Macedo was traveling south on Fowler Street. As Macedo approached other vehicles and attempted to pass them, Macedo sideswiped a car and was thrown from his motorcycle. Speed and possibly racing was a factor in the crash. Macedo died on scene.

The driver of the car fled the scene. Police are looking for a possible gold, 1997-2001, Cadillac with a missing passenger-side mirror. The car may have damage to the right side and may also be marked with blue transfer paint from the motorcycle.
