Police investigating fatal crash in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A fatal hit and run crash occurred at the intersection of Fowler Street and Hunter Street Friday evening. The crash involved a motorcycle and a car.
According to witnesses the driver of the motorcycle, Wilson Macedo was traveling south on Fowler Street. As Macedo approached other vehicles and attempted to pass them, Macedo sideswiped a car and was thrown from his motorcycle. Speed and possibly racing was a factor in the crash. Macedo died on scene.
The driver of the car fled the scene. Police are looking for a possible gold, 1997-2001, Cadillac with a missing passenger-side mirror. The car may have damage to the right side and may also be marked with blue transfer paint from the motorcycle.

This tragedy should be a reminder to all, people in Lee county do not use brakes. Brakes are perhaps an option on vehicles. With the high price of gas, soon we all will have motorcycles. People it seams down are have some kind of road rage everytime they see a motorcycle, so it appears. As a motorcyclist myself, I feel real bad for the family, and I am sure the person who hit his cycle will be judged by God. I hope he can live in hell or someplace.
