Cars burglarized at cemetery

By WINK News

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A local cemetery is reeling with shock because somebody broke into seven vehicles during funeral services on Sunday.

It happened at Lehigh Memorial Gardens along State Road 82.

Thieves smashed windows on the cars and stole mostly womens' purses, a camera, and some cash.

They also got the passport of one funeral-goer.

The director at the Gardens tells WINK News, it's never happened before and he may post signs advising mourners to remove valuable items from their cars.
