SOUTHWEST FLORIDA - The woman charged in a deadly car crash that killed a soldier faces new charges. Ashley East is the woman accused of a hit and run that killed 23-year-old Danny Beougher on December 8th.
The State Attorney's Office just filed three new charges against Ashley East. All three charges relate to driving under the influence.
The State Attorney's Office received new information from the Florida Highway Patrol which makes them believe Ashley East was drunk the night of the accident.
Authorities say her truck slammed into Danny Beougher's jeep on Hancock Bridge Parkway near Moody Road, killing the Iraq war veteran and critically injuring his wife.
East is now facing a total of ten charges. She’s in jail now and heads back to court in July.
Ashley East could spend 14 to 50 years in prison, if she's found guilty.
