Fundraiser for daughter of the Bobbie Noonan victim

By WINK Web Manager

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - People in Cape Coral spent Sunday raising money in memory of Christine Dunn.

A family day was held in the late mother's honor at Jim Jeffers Park in Cape Coral.

Local businesses donated food, gifts and entertainment to help with fundraising.

The event was held to motivate the community to contribute for a college fund started for Dunn's 2-year-old daughter, Allyson.

Friends of the late teacher say they organized the event because they wanted to give back to her as much as she had done for them.

Sabrina McGuire-Bryne told WINK News, "I've had that happen to me, we've had personal tragedy in my family and the community stepped up and that was the only thing that got me through it."

Robert Harold Dunn, Christine's estranged husband and Allyson's father, is accused for murdering Christine while she was working at the Boobie Noonan Daycare in Cape Coral.
