CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - Two Port Charlotte teens were arrested for allegedly stealing $2-thousand worth of equipment off a boat in Punta Gorda.
The owner of the fishing rods, depth finder and GPS device called the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office after he found the items for sale on eBay. He was able to trace the seller's email back to the teens.
Sheriff's deputies arrested 19-year-old David McCarren and 19-year-old Jason Adamo on three counts of dealing in stolen property.
The Sheriff's Office has put an alert out to residents to protect GPS devices in their cars and boats. Officials say more arrests may be pending.
