FORT MYERS, Fla. - "It's busy, busy, busy," said Sales Manager Joe Jackson.
The RV industry isn't running out of gas. A packed parking lot at North Trail RV Center in Fort Myers showed us just how busy it is.
"For the most part, we're still getting a lot of traffic, a lot of interest. And you know what, hopefully we're going to get a lot of sales," said Jackson.
Jackson says sales have only decreased slightly because folks like Pat McClain are ready to buy.
"We came by this place and stopped," she said.
The McClain's drove all the way from Arkansas. The closer they got the higher the gas prices climbed. "If you look around, they're everywhere so it don't seem to bother many people," said McClain.
Even as gas prices are going up and the economy slows, people who buy RV's say, that stuff doesn't matter because there's always a benefit.
"Plane tickets are up, everything is up. So, it's the best way to enjoy you're family," said Jackson.
North Trail has seen more people putting their RV up for consignment. The parts and service department is booming as people try to keep the one they've got in good shape. But if anything has to go, it won't be Pat McClain's motor home.
