NAPLES, Fla. - Experts in Islamic extremism and national security meet in Naples Saturday night.
The roundtable discussion featured local leaders like Collier County Sheriff Don Hunter, who has served on state-wide terrorism task forces.
Also, nationwide Islamic leader Doctor Zuhdi Jasser spoke at the forum. Doctor Jasser is the chairman of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy.
He says the only way to win the war on terror is through the Islamic community. "It's up to the business community and business leaders in the muslim community to step up and to say this is not our faith. This is not about political agenda, we are a diverse community," Doctor Jasser told WINK News. "We come to mosque not to discuss foreign and domestic policy, but to come closer to God," Jasser explained.
The event started with a viewing of the documentary "Obsession - Radical Islam's War Against the West."
