UPDATE: Search continues for a missing marine

By Nicole Papageorge

CHARLOTTE COUNTY - A local marine is missing and The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office says he suffers from post traumatic stress disorder.

24-year-old Chris Hall went missing from his aunt's house in Deep Creek on Sunday afternoon.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office and Sarasota County Sheriff's Office have been using their K-9 Units and heat seeker to try and find Hall.

His family, including his mother who flew in from Indiana, are searching for Hall across Charlotte County. They say he has suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder since being injured in the war in Iraq three years ago.

"He has had periods of times when yes he has had flashbacks he's had lots of troubles with nightmares and dreams," says Hall's mother Becky.

On Sunday, those dreams became even more disturbing.

"Grandma noticed that he was walking around the house saying that there's people after him ,that the house was surrounded ,that they needed to stay low that he needed to leave," says Hall's cousin Adam Birge.

Deputies did find Hall's blue motorcycle in Harbour Heights on Sunday evening, but Hall was no where to be found. His family says they won't rest until he's found.

"I'm staying here as long as I'm needed here," says Becky Hall.

Eric Hall is a 24-year-old white male with blond hair and blue eyes. He is 5'8'' tall and weighs about 150lbs. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket with "In memory of Pops" written on it. He also walks with a limp because of a leg injury from Iraq.

If you have any information about Eric Hall you're asked to call the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office at (941) 639-0013.
