NORTH PORT, Fla. - Over the weekend, searchers found the body of Denise Amber Lee. A suspect is in custody, but there is no clear connection between the victim and the suspect.

Authorities say body was woman taken from her home

NORTH PORT, Fla. (AP) - Authorities in Southwest Florida have confirmed a body found this weekend was a 21-year-old woman missing since Thursday.

Word that Denise Amber Lee was dead came at an emotional news conference in North Port yesterday.

Lee was taken from her home and her body was found buried in a wooded area.

Nearly 300 officers and volunteers had been searching for her.
