Preliminary divorce decree for Paul McCartney

LONDON (AP) - Paul McCartney's on track to be finally divorced from Heather Mills.

A judge in London today granted the Beatle a preliminary divorce decree. If no one objects, it'll be final in six weeks and one day.

Mills will get 47 and half million dollars in the settlement, and retains custody of the couple's 4-year-old daughter, Beatrice. McCartney retains most of his assets, estimated by the court to be approaching a billion dollars.
