The Internal Revenue Service has begun to transfer economic stimulus payments to millions of Americans.
Below are the schedules for economic stimulus payments related to tax returns processed by April 15, 2008. However, many people will be receiving their payments earlier. DIRECT DEPOSIT PAYMENTS Last two digits of SSN: 00 – 20 = May 2 21 – 75 = May 9 76 – 99 = May 16 PAPER CHECK Last two digits of SSN: Your check should be in the mail by: 00 – 09 = May 16 10 – 18 = May 23 19 – 25 = May 30 26 – 38 = June 6 39 – 51 = June 13 52 – 63 = June 20 64 – 75 = June 27 76 – 87 = July 4 88 – 99 = July 11 |

If you filed your taxes and didn't get direct deposit, then no matter how else you filed (H&R visa emerald card, paper check, etc) you will be mailed your check on the date shown above to the address you used when you filed your taxes. I believe the separate check for the kids will be mailed out in July. Just not sure on the day it will be mailed. Have a blessed day!

Don't you guys read???? If you want any info on your rebate check go to www.irs.gov there you can find out all of these questions you are asking here don't be lazy and just read!!!!!! There are numbers to get ahold of the irs on their site, I just talked to an agent last week to make sure my address was right. Also it tells you when and if you are going to get a check on there. Maybe some of you should take the money you are getting and get an education!!!!!!

I had automatic deposit for tax years 2004, 2005 and 2006 I believe. In the tax year 2007, I owed the IRS a few bucks and paid it. So on my tax form 1040 I didn't have to fill in my bank code for automatic deposit. So will I be getting a paper check because of this. Apparently I will because if I had automatic deposit in this case I would have received my stimulus check by now. Now I have to wait until June 27 before they mail my paper check.

Ok, I finally got ahold of someone at the IRS dept. I was suppose to receive my auto-deposit on may 16th. I didn't of course, so she said that when I did my taxes on turbo tax I oppted to have automatic deposit however, I wanted to get it asap so turbo tax will deposits into there account (santa barbara bank) then they transfer it into you accout. Well, this will make it so the IRS can not deposit it into your acct, because they can't see you acct#. So, mine will be mailed. Hope this helps

I just got off the phone with the IRS and here's the deal. If you filed through a tax preparer and had the fees taken out of your refund, you will receive a check. Follow the schedule for check release and that is when your check will go out. Reason for a check is when you file and have your fees taken out, it is coming from the tax preparer who receives the money from the IRS. The IRS cannot send a refund for direct deposit from a tax preparer because they don't actually have your account #.

I didn't have a refund coming to me. I owned federal and state. I looked at my tax return that h&r block sent to the IRS and now i know for sure because i took the Ral and it went on my emerald card,i will be getting paper check not DD,because on my refund were it says direct deposit info i checked and it's not my routing number nor my account number to my emerald card ,it must be the banks or h&r blocks.So that is why people that took the Ral will not be getting DD because the IRS dose not have are routing number or are account number.

Can't agree with the turbo tax thing. I do know someone who got there's direct dep last Friday that used Turbo Tax. The rub there I believe is if you had it dep through Santa Barbara Bank then to your account you probably will not see electronic transfer... you will get a paper check. The accounting office that I work for has been getting calls for the last two weeks about these checks and asking when they can pick them up at our office. I work for a CPA office. Here are answers to some of the questions and correct some of the information that has been given that is wrong. If your refund check was direct deposited then your rebat will be direct deposited also but if you got a RAL then your rebate will be mailed. If you receive social security then yes you are eligible for the check as long as your income was more than $3000. The schedule for deposits and mailings are based on the last 2 numbers of your ss# not the last 4.

No lies here, just my 1,200. SS Number used is the one for the first name listed on your return. (This is usually the husbands.) If, when you filed your return, you had the money deposited directly to your account, the 1200 will be deposited there too. If you didn't get a refund, you wouldn't have had a direct deposit so you will have to wait for a paper check.

Lots of these questions can be answered by going to the IRS.gov website OR by calling the H&R Block office that filed your taxes. There's no reason to fret and worry, nor only see/talk to these people when they are handling YOUR money one time per year. Make them work for you. :) BTW, direct deposit, means that the funds went directly into a BANKING account, i.e. checking or savings, be it regular bank or credit union, not Emerald card nor R.A.L.

if u filed rapid or any ral and did not pay up front for your taxes to be done you will be receiving a paper check not direct deposit. the IRS should have informed the public of this information.That's why it's so many mailing days and only a fews for direct deposit.

What about when, If you got it put on your card by H&R Block...it was between you & H & R block, which means you will get a paper check. If you were one of the ones that had it direct deposited on your card through the IRS....it is like any other bank account & will be direct deposited on there. Hope that helps!

If you got your check threw the Emerald card you will be getting the rebate by paper check. Just called the IRS because I also got the Emerald card and they told me that it would be paper check. Also if you moved from the time you filed they will not forward the check you have to change your address with them directly.

if you have ssi and received more than 3000 all you had to do was half way fill out a 1040. Directions are on the irs.gov site

Direct Deposit is when your initial Tax Refund was deposited DIRECTLY into an account, another words, you did not receive a paper check through the mail. As long as you did not receive a paper check in the mail, you got direct deposit whether it be to an Emerald Card or your own personal bank.

If you paid taxes electronically, it gets deposited into the account you paid from. If you paid by paper check, you get a paper check back.
