ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Karen Thurman will continue leading the Florida Democratic Party after being re-elected to a four-year term.
Thurman was unchallenged Saturday at the party's reorganization meeting in Orlando. The former congresswoman who was first elected
chairwoman in May 2005.
Her re-election comes a month after President-elect Barack Obama won Florida and Democratic candidates defeated two incumbent Republican congressmen.
Party officials presented Thurman with a framed Obama poster signed by Florida's 27 electors.
