Electoral College to formally seal Obama victory

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida's members of the Electoral College are meeting to cast their votes for president-elect Barack Obama.

The Electoral College is scheduled to formally elect Obama president on Monday, with electors meeting in each state to vote in a largely ceremonial procedure.

In Florida, the meeting is being held in the Florida Senate Chambers at 2 p.m.

Electors in 50 states and the District of Columbia will cast 537 votes Monday. A majority of 270 is required for election.
