Michelle Obama in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Michelle Obama made a stop in Fort Myers Thursday morning, hosting a breakfast fundraiser for her husband's campaign.

Mrs. Obama spoke a lot about family values, and her husband uniting America again - overcoming some of the divisions of our society.

550 people showed up for the breakfast fundraiser, and $200,000 dollars was raised for the "Obama for President Campaign".

This was not a campaign stop, it was a fund raiser. Later in the year I'm sure they'll be events for all for 'free'. This event was to assure he can afford those stops.

Michelle Obama is a very impressive lady. Good for her coming to Ft Myers. It takes a lot of money to run for president. It isn't always Republicans who can raise the money required. Lifelong Republicans are switching to Obama in droves. The country is desperate for change. We need intelligent leaders to bring us together and solve our problems. Partisan gridlock has failed.

know what I would like to see...these politicians having something like this, but free to those who want to attend. its like saying those who can't afford these high priced fundraisers (esp with our current economy situation) voices don't matter. if anything they should be listening to us!!
