McCain to reveal more about his fund-raising
WASHINGTON (AP) - More information is about to be released about Republican John McCain's presidential fund-raising.
The campaign says its Web site will have more details about the individuals who collect money from donors and about donors living overseas. Campaign manager Rick Davis says leaders of several campaign finance watchdog groups have been notified that the presumptive nominee will begin identifying top fundraisers not only by name and location but by employer and occupation. The additional data and an updated list of McCain fund-raisers is scheduled to be available on the campaign Web site next week and will be updated monthly. Eight groups that track money in politics have written the candidates calling on them to identify the specific amount of money raised by individual fund-raisers. Obama has not responded to the letter. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
