ARCADIA, Fla. & TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Lawyers for James Richardson, the former Arcadia man wrongful convicted in the murder of his seven kids, have sent a letter to Governor Crist asking him to remove the State Attorney for DeSoto from the case.
State Attorney Earl Moreland is in the way of Richardson collecting $1.1 millions dollars under a new state law giving innocent people money for the time they wrongfully spent in prison.
The State Attorney says just because Richardson is not guilty, does not mean his is innocent.
Two other governors have temporarily removed Moreland's office from the case in the past due to possible conflicts of interest. Morelands's Office, the 12th Judicial Circuit, is the office that convicted Richardson back in 1968.
The Governor's Office tells Call For Action they have received the letter and the Governor's legal team is expected to review the letter very soon.

I believe that if the charges were dropped because some evidence was with held and they found him innocent after all those years then yes he should get paid some money. i mean think about it..who was or is going to want to give that guy a job after supposedly being convicted gulity. I know everyone has there own opinion but mine is that if he didn;t do it then the person who did is or was obviously still out there. So don't be dumb and pay up!!!

How did Earl become a lawyer anyhow. Every knows the basic innocent till proven guilty. So simply put if he's not guilty he's innocent.
