Why is it that people who do great at their jobs get punished for what they do in their personal lives? What ever happened to keeping ones personal and professional life separate? If this man showed a good moral standing at work and in front of the communitee then why should it matter what his wife does for a living.

I agree with the Council. I don't think we would vote for Pres. Obama if Mrs. Obama were involved in non-family oriented activities. I can think of several public figures in town in Fort Myers, who would not be seated if their spouse were involved in similar activities. There are certain "lines" in public positions that are drawn, regardless of whether technically legal or illegal. Wonder if Mr. Janke will be hired elsewhere?
