LEE COUNTY-- Monday is the first day of the 2009/2010 school year.

The District is urging community members to be aware of their surroundings during their commute to and from work.

Students will be walking, riding their bicycles to school or waiting on the corner for their bus to arrive.

In Lee County nearly 80,000 students will be attending public schools this year.
