CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A school many parents call one of the best places for kids with learning disabilities is closing. The company that runs the Broach School in Cape Coral just can't afford to keep it open.
Small class sizes help kids with ADHD, Autism, or Asburgers. But, the private school is closing for good May 22nd. The McKay scholarship allows students with special needs to choose where they want to go on public funding.
Parents pay what the scholarship doesn't, but with the down economy parents can not always afford tuition and attendence dropped at the Broach School from 45 students to 27.
A lot of parents told WINK News they are trying to decide between putting their kids in public schools or other private schools in the area.
