Make the summer "bearable" and raise money for sick kids

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA - If you love to shop and you love kids...you'll love Kohl's newest promotion.

Through the Kohl's Cares for Kids program, Kohl's is offering an exclusive edition of Eric Carle's popular bear book series and coordinating plush animals as a fundraiser for the Children's Hospital of SWFL.

Now, through September, if you buy any of the books or stuffed animals...Kohl's will donate 100% of the net profits to help children at the Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. The books retail for just $5 and the stuffed animals are also available for $5 each.

Last year the Children's Hospital of SWFL earned $20,000 from this promotion. So, with the addition of new Kohl's stores, they are hoping to earn even more this year. The program has turned $5 merchandise into $102 million dollars for children's initiatives worldwide since its inception.
