SWFL teacher asks for nude pictures of 12-year-old

By WINK News

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - WINK News is uncovering new details about a Southwest Florida teacher accused of fondling a 12-year-old he met online.

Derrick Sepp taught at Labelle Middle School before being arrested outside a Polk County movie theater.

"MySpace" was where the 12-year-old and Derrick Sepp allegedly met.

The state attorney's office says Sepp contacted the victim through this profile "Meetnewpeople."

The 12-year-old says the two exchanged messages back and forth. The young boy claims he sent nude pictures of himself to Sepp.

According to documents obtained by WINK News Sepp asked the boy to hold up four fingers so Sepp would know they were pictures of him.

The two agreed to meet at a Polk County movie theater. The 12-year-old says that's where Sepp kissed and fondled him.

The victim's sister tells police she saw her brother was contacting Sepp through the internet and confronted him about it.

The boy didn't say anything and that's when the mother called police.

The boy then told police about what Sepp allegedly did to him inside the theater.

With police involved, another meeting was set up at the same movie theater with Sepp and when he showed up he was arrested.

Police then searched Sepp's Fort Myers home and they say they discovered several hand written letters about other males Sepp was observing as well as articles on age of consent and rape.

Sepp is now facing charges of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation.

We found out Sepp had a one year contract with the Hendry County School District and it was not renewed back in April. He is no longer working for the district.

Sepp is being held without bail in the Polk County Jail. A pretrial conference is set for July 22nd.
