Students making money: You can too!!

By WINK News

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - We found a summer camp with an unique twist.

The Money Game teaches dozens of kids business and finance and how to make money work for them.

Each student starts with 100 dollars or 600 for the team. They have to create an amusement park attraction in 8 days.

All the money they make during the big event is theirs to keep, some kids will earn $150 dollars.

The amusement park is open to the public Saturday night from 6 to 8 p.m. inside the Student Union Ballroom at FGCU.

Now here's another twist you can make money too!

While this is a great way for kids to make money, parents have to pay around $250 for the 8 day program. So we should ask ourselves, who is really benefiting from this?

I am one of the campers who attend the money game program. This is my second yr. and it's lots of fun while still teaching you how to make and use money for your buisnes. Even though you usaully would not learn half of this till you got a job it's really cool to learn it earlier in life. After that week of making your buisness; it comes to life at an amazing theme park called the money game. In a way its kinda like an interactive monopoly; but more fun!
