LEE COUNTY, Fla. - Friday is the deadline to run for school board.

As of Monday night, Collier County School Board Chair Linda Abbott has not filed papers to run as the incumbent for District 4.

There are already five people vying for her seat on the school board:

Adrienne Markopolos
Joe Paterno
Gary Smith
Julie Sprague
Mark Swanson

Board member Kathy Curatolo will run as incumbent for District 2 against Richard MacClugage.

In Lee County, there are two seats available. Board Chair Jeanne Dozier has filed papers to run. She will face off against James Middlebrooks if both candidates qualify. Board member Jane Kuckel is currently running unopposed.

In Charlotte County, all three board members are running for re-election unopposed.
