Bonita, FL - It all started out innocently enough. Sandy Bieker's daughter was having a garage sale at her Bella Terra home. Sandy lives in The Brooks nearby, so she decided to take some stuff over to the garage sale.
Accidentally mixed in the stuff: two precious heirloom family photographs. One was of Sandy and her twin sister as babies, the other was of her parents on their wedding day.
Sandy says when she was at her daughter's, she realized the pictures were mixed in with the sale stuff. She had to run some errands and wasn't at the sale, so she left her husband Clem in charge. "I put those pictures off to the side," she says. "My mistake was not taking them with me."
Apparently her husband Clem and some other family members who shall remain nameless spotted the photos and put them up for sale. They sold quickly. "Well, I did tell my husband to sell everything," says Sandy.
Since then, they've put forth an effort to get the pictures back from the mystery woman who bought them for ten dollars each. They're putting up flyers and taking ads out in the newspapers.
