Take a "Staycation"

Library suggests books to help

By Judd Cribbs

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - The Lee County Library is urging people to have fun and save money this summer by taking a family "staycation."

This is where Florida residents, who already live in the greatest tourist state in the land, stay near home and take one or two-day trips around the region to explore the Sunshine State's hidden treasures.

The books, which helpful library volunteers will help you discover, cover everything such as hiking, kayaking, camping and biking.

The books offer insights into hidden places within the hidden places, which can allow any family to have a fun, close and (relatively) inexpensive "staycation."
