The Greater Fort Myers is holding its annual American Kennel Club Dog Show this weekend at the Lee Civic Center.

More than 1,000 dogs are expected to take part in the show.

The GFMDC sent us an e-mail detailing the weekend show:

The Lee Civic Center is at 11831 Bayshore Road North Fort Myers, located at the junction of state road 31 and 78. Show hours are Saturday May 17, 8 AM to 7 PM and Sunday May 18, 8 AM to 5 PM , with judging beginning at 8:30 AM each day.

There will be a $3.00 per car entry fee and a $5.00 per person admission fee. Children under 12 are free. Due to AKC regulations, dogs not entered in the show will not be allowed into the building. Additionally, no children'’s strollers are permitted in the buildings.
