It seems like every day another street in downtown Fort Myers is closing while another one is opening.

The city sent us a press release to make it somewhat easier to navigate the area in your vehicle without feeling like you're trapped in a maze.

The following information comes straight from the city of Fort Myers:

Roads under construction are as follows:

First Street from Jackson Street to Dean Street AND from Heitman Street to Monroe Street
Hendry Street from First Street to Bay Street

Broadway from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to south of Second Street

Richmond Street from Lee Street to Royal Palm Avenue

Royal Palm Avenue from First Street to Second Street



Travel through downtown Fort Myers on the following OPEN roads:

Edwards Drive (east-west)

Bay Street (east-west)

Second Street (east-west)

Jackson Street (north-south)

Lee Street (north-south)

Monroe Street (north-south)
