Historical Village Hosts Nuptials

By Judd Cribbs

The Sanibel Historical Museum and Village is staging an old island wedding.

The buildings in the village are set up to show how a wedding would look on the island about 75 years ago or so.

The exhibit is scheduled to run through mid-May and is open to anyone visiting the grounds.

Located off Periwinkle on Dunlop Road, the village is like stepping into the history of the island. Buildings over 100 years old have been lovingly preserved and restored.

The attraction is open Wednesdays through Saturdays through mid-August but hours vary.
