Tampa woman shakes up new business

Brigitte Marie Ciccarello of Tampa is getting very familiar with Southwest Florida as she expands her business: as a professional belly dancer.

She started dancing 12 years ago and then left the corporate world to follow her new dream. She's been able to find a niche belly dancing at senior centers, where she says residents seem to enjoy the high-energy, hour-long show.

"It keeps me energized too," she says, "It keeps me going. Also, I feel like I'm making a difference in the world."

She says she adds in other costumes and other styles of dance to her show. Her latest performance was at Harbor Chase of North Collier.
