CAPE CORAL, Fla. & PLAINVILLE, Mass. - The FBI tells WINK News and Call For Action they are investigating the possibility that Robert John Josephson Junior is dead. Josephson was indicted by a federal Grand Jury on March 18, 2009, on two counts of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

A Call For Action investigation uncovered a death claim was made under what appears to Josephson's social security number in February of 2009. Our investigations traced Josephson to Plainville, Massachusetts.

Friday the FBI asked the public for help to find Josephson. On Saturday, the F.B.I. confirmed for Call For Action they had been made aware of the death claim and were checking to see if that person is actually Robert John Josephson Junior.

The FBI Fort Myers office Innocent Images Task Force was trying to tack down Josephson. The Task Force works with the Lee County Sherriff's Office, Collier County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Cape Coral Police Department, Fort Myers Police Department, State Attorney's Office, FBI, and the United States Attorney's Office - Middle District of Florida.
