SOUTHWEST FLORIDA - Hoping to draw in more clients, a Southwest Florida housekeeper posted her information online. She ended up bringing in some unwanted business.
The housekeeper does not want her face on camera. She does want people who use online sites like Craig's List to hear her story.
"I got a call Saturday from a guy who said he was desperate. His wife was coming into town later this week," she told CALL FOR ACTION.
She says when she and her daughter arrived, she started seeing red flags.
"He showed us this sort of like a couch in the dining room and it was, he had the covers off of it and he kept telling us over and over those had to be washed," she told WINK, "On the end of the bed, he had a gun that he put into the case and he said he has guns all over the house."
She told CALL FOR ACTION the final straw that made her leave, "My daughter was in the kitchen and when she went around the corner into the dining room she noticed there was no dining room furniture for one, just that couch thing on the floor was a mat, two pillows, a whip, some gloves, a mask, a pole and a video camera plugged into the outlet."
After she left the home, her cell phone started ringing. She played the message for WINK "I cannot believe y'all left without even saying a word," the man said.
Her daughter showed CALL FOR ACTION her call log, showing more than 25 threatening calls in a row. "I will make my life's mission," the man said in other message, "I want you to know I had video camera's in my home recording you."
She decided to warn the other housekeepers on Craig's list. She told us when she called, "He had already called 3 other women. One was supposed to go out there around 2. Another was going to schedule him for later this week and one he had called right after I called her and told him about him. So he was desperately looking for someone."
The housekeeper filed a report with the Sheriff's Department, who is looking into the incident. They say even though this is a strange story there's no indication he broke any laws, so there are no criminal charges they could file.

someone should go into the same category where you post the ad looking for house-keeping work and post a WARNING ad against him... this would be the best way to handle it and will help protect the other house-keepers on craigslist. Perhaps reposting it every couple of days for a few weeks and then as often as possible after that would be helpful in assuring he doesn't get to someone and hurt them... goodluck! :)

Thanks for the warning. I do have a cleaning business and sometimes it's scary to go to someones's home. I will definetly keep an eye out and pass the word around. I'm glad that the ladies are safe.
