PINE ISLAND, Fla. – The wait is finally over as Beacon of Hope on Pine Island, opens a brand new 6,000-square-foot thrift store and community services center.

The community services center and thrift store will continue to help the Beacon of Hope with their mission of “helping our people excel,” as they support the Pine Island community.

On Tuesday, community members are invited to come out and see the new location as well as tour the new building and shop. To celebrate Mel’s Mullet Dogs will be frying up fresh mullet dogs for just a $3 donation.

The new building will also allow the Beacon of Hope to build a brand new community learning center, where they can teach classes and further educate members of the community.

Almost everything in the thrift store will also be 50 percent off its regular price on Tuesday. The new Beacon of Hope community center and thrift store is located at 5090 Doug Taylor Circle, St. James City on Pine Island.
