Eric was born in Philadelphia and spent his childhood in Cherry Hill, New Jersey until the age of 12. He lived in Laconia, NH while obtaining his undergraduate degrees. His first interest in meteorology came in 8th grade science class. He went on to obtain two Bachelors Degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Plymouth State College in Plymouth, NH both in 1999. He knew he wanted to pursue a career as an on-air meteorologist after taking a TV course at Plymouth State.
In 1999, Eric moved to Salt Lake City, where he received a full scholarship and assistanceship for his Masters Degree in Meteorology at the University of Utah. He received his degree in 2001. Right after college, Eric started working as a weather producer for KSTU Fox 13 in Salt Lake City. After four years of weather producing, on New Year's Eve 2004, he worked my first on-air show at KSTU. He continued to weather produce and be an on-air meteorologist until moving to Fort Myers in February of 2012.
Eric received his AMS Broadcast Seal of Approval in May of 2009.
When he is not working, you can find Eric bowling in multiple leagues, bicycle riding, playing golf or going to the beach.
