I would like to thank everyone for donating their time and monies to help make last nights benifit a resounding success. Before the food, fun, and entertainment started, Dave Rockow had a few thanks and rememberances. "We would like to welcome all Veterans, National Guardsmen, and Friends. On behalf of Merri Douthwright, Dr. Lynn R. Bernstein and Associates, the Vietnam Veteran’s of America, and the American Legion, we thank all of you for making this benefit possible. We would also like to extend our thanks to the Two Fifths band for their wonderful entertainment. For all those who have served and all non-deployed National Guard we salute you and you have our sincerest gratitude for the service you provide to our country. We would like to take a moment of silence for all of our brothers and sisters who were not able to return home."
One very important meanings of this benifit was to highlight the issue of Our non deployed National Guard who are not covered if They sustain an injury while training and maintaining Their readyness to protect Our country.
