Saturday April 16th, 2011 is day #4 for the Taking it to the Streets campaing in SWFL. The City of Fort Myers and Lee County encourage all citizens to participate by using alternatives to the drive alone private motor vehicle that can improve health, reduce road congestion, save gas and money...getting green by saving green.

The community is encourage to carpool, take public transit, walk or bike anywhere they go from April 13th to the 23rd. Then, document the amount of miles used with the different modes of transportation implemented at www.commuterservicesfl.com or by calling 1.866.585.RIDE. All participants will be recognized and the champions (who record the most miles with their initiative) will be rewarded with cool surprises.

An individual choice can improve an entire community! and prove that you can be a champion too.
