Come join in the fun and discover what Urban Hoops is all about on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the new Porsche of Fort Myers dealership, located at 10064 Daniels Interstate Court at Daniels and I-75 behind Cracker Barrel restaurant.
Urban Hoops is a new not-for-profit organization that is set to officially open its doors Fall 2011 with basketball training and life skills development programs that give area young people more hope, drive and ambition to succeed. Its comprehensive basketball, educational and mentoring programs develop the entire child through basketball—from character building, to academics and achievement, and right on to potentially becoming the best basketball player of all time.
Founder James Long knows from experience that it takes more than just raw athletic talent to be a world-class basketball player. “Urban Hoops’ programs are unlike any other available today because we seek to boost every child’s self-esteem through character building and solid academic habits to achieve success both on and off the basketball court … for a lifetime,” said Mr. Long. “We fully expect that every student athlete in our program will be college bound by the time he or she graduates from high school.”
