Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, the real life heroes of the Oscar winning film, “The Blind Side” will speak at the Youth Haven Home~Hope~Healing benefit luncheon on Thursday, March 10th, 2011 at Naples Grande Beach Resort.
The Tuohy’s adopted Michael Oher, a troubled homeless teen who went on to become a star NFL tackle with the Baltimore Ravens. Since that time, Sean and Leigh Anne have gone on to embrace projects that are grounded in their belief in the power of the human spirit to transform lives through simple acts of kindness.
“Sean and Leigh Anne are an ordinary couple who did an extraordinary thing,” said Brad Marshall, President of the Youth Haven Board of Trustees. “We chose them to speak at our inaugural luncheon as they exemplify the very philosophy of Youth Haven, and our unwavering commitment to provide a lifeline of safety, love and compassion for innocent children, and to assure that they have a chance to realize happy and productive lives”, added Mr. Marshall.
