The Cape Coral Kiwanis Club held their 32nd annual holiday party for Lee County’s special needs children at the Cape Coral Yacht Club. The club hosted almost 500 children from 26 schools. In addition, each of the schools was presented a $1,000 grant to support their ESE programs.

Activities at the party included a performance by the Calendar Girls dancers, music provided by pianist Dan Tudor and special appearances by Roy Kennedy and his guide dog from the Southeastern Guide Dog School, Cape Coral Councilman Marty McClain, Kiwanis Lt. Governor Bruce Boyd and Santa Claus. The event was professionally photographed by Suzie Dugan from Lady in Pink Photography. Lunch and gifts were provided to the students.

The Cape Coral Kiwanis Club’s sponsored programs assisted with the event including the Cape Coral High School Key Club, Builders Club of Providence Christian School and Aktion Club. Funds for the party were generated from the two Cape Coral Kiwanis thrift stores and volunteer thrift store workers.
