Dr. Thomas P. Hale, a Naples-based dental practitioner, is encouraging area-children to donate their Halloween candy in exchange for money through the Halloween Candy Buy-Back program. This anti-decay movement will give children $1 for each pound of donated candy, and the treats will then be shipped off to the 2nd Marine Logistics Group currently serving in Iraq, as well as Youth Haven - an organization dedicated to protecting abused children and strengthening fragile families. The candy will be collected on Nov. 1 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m at Dr. Hale's office, located at 9180 Galleria Court, Suite 100 in Naples. The treats must be unopened and hard candy is preferred.
