Janine is happy to be back home in Southwest Florida after she and her husband decided to leave cold New York winters and snowstorms behind.

Before coming back to Naples, Janine was an on-air meteorologist at WCBS in New York City for two years. Janine also did the weather for TV stations in Dallas, Shreveport, Hattiesburg and at The Weather Channel in Atlanta.

Hurricane forecasting and chasing is Janine's weather passion. She remembers when that interest began... the eye of Hurricane Gloria passed over her childhood home in Dix Hills, Long Island when she was 12 years old.

Now Janine provides live coverage during landfalling hurricanes for WINK-TV and The Weather Channel.

Janine studied Broadcasting and Meteorology at the University of Florida and Mississippi State University. She holds the Television Seal of Approval from both the American Meteorological Society and the Nation Weather Association.

Janine is a graduate of Barron Collier High School in Naples where she was a member of the Cougar marching band. She met her husband, TJ, in the University of Florida marching band.
