Cristin Severance

Reporter

Cristin Severance covers Cape Coral, Southwest Florida largest city.

She is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and although she misses the Steel City, the beaches and beautiful weather makes Florida an easy place to call home.

Cristin comes to us from WKBN in Youngstown, Ohio where she was the weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. She covered it all from hard news to features. Cristin even let the cameras come along for a three part series as she trained and competed in her first triathlon. Somehow she crossed the finish line and still competes in races when she has time.

She got her start at WDTV in Clarksburg, WV as a one-man-band reporter and Morning and Noon co-anchor and producer. She'll never forget her time in West Virginia, but sadly one story sticks with her the most. Cristin helped cover the Sago Mine disaster where a blast trapped 13 coal miners for two days. Only one man survived.

Cristin graduated cum laude from West Virginia University.

When she isn't working you'll probably still find her watching the news, running, or exploring.

Please feel free to drop her an e-mail with any stories you'd like to see covered or just to say hello.
