Maggie Crane

Reporter

St. Louis native Maggie Crane joins the WINK news team after spending two years at KQ2 in St. Joseph, MO. As an anchor, reporter, producer and photographer, she wore just about every hat in the newsroom.

Maggie graduated summa cum laude from St. Louis University with a degree in communications. She also spent a semester abroad, studying and traveling to many countries throughout Europe. The news bug bit Maggie hard while interning at KSDK in St. Louis. From there, she was granted a competitive internship with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which turned into a full-time job with E! Entertainment's E! News Live and Cover Story. She left E! in search of hard news that makes a difference.

Maggie won a Missouri Broadcasters Award for her coverage of Shriners Hospital's work to straighten a young girl's spine. She was also recognized for her continuing coverage of the Northwest Missouri Children's Advocacy Center, a non-profit that interviews and counsels abused and neglected children.

An avid supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Cancer Society and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Maggie volunteers as often as possible. She's been honored to raise money and speak at numerous Relay for Life and Light The Night events.

Maggie is always up to a new challenge and loves calling Southwest Florida home! The midwesterner is thrilled to have such beautiful beaches so close! In her spare time, you can find her on a plane or jumping out of one!

Maggie says everyone has a story, and she wants to hear from you. Email her at maggie.crane@winktv.com.
