Mike Walcher is the Senior Reporter at WINK News.

After graduating from Northwestern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, he received his Masters of Science in Journalism from Columbia University.

Mike has worked in Iowa and Minneapolis before joining the WINK-TV news team in 1998. He has won numerous awards for spot news coverage and long form news series. In 2005, he was awarded first place for best light news feature in the State of Florida by the Associated Press Broadcasters.

In his time away from the newsroom, Mike enjoys tending to his home in the Fort Myers area, golfing, traveling and taking care of his Scottish terrier, "Piper."
