Christina Hernandez joined the WINK News team in December 2008.

She enjoys the warm Florida weather, but will always be a Buckeye. Christina grew up in Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public affairs journalism.

She comes here from KBMT in Beaumont, Texas were she worked as a reporter. She covered refinery explosions, tropical storms and surprise Hurricane Humberto.

In 2007, Christina worked in New York City as a reporter and photographer for News 12 The Bronx. There she interviewed a firefighter that saved a child from a burning apartment building.

In 2006, Christina spent time anchoring and reporting for News Watch LA in Los Angeles, California. She covered a grocery store shooting and the anniversary of one of the oldest and most popular bakeries in LA.

While in college, Christina was very active with the school newspaper, The Lantern, and the TV station, Buckeye TV.

When Christina is not working she's usually running errands, or reading a good book.
