Melissa Yeager serves as the WINK News CALL FOR ACTION Reporter. The Kansas Native is glad to have traded the ice storms of the Midwest for the beaches of Southwest Florida.

Melissa came to WINK from KYTV in Springfield, MO where she served as the station's education reporter. Her reports helped the station earn three regional Edward R. Murrow awards for Continuing Coverage, Breaking News, and Overall Excellence. Along with awards by from the Missouri Broadcasters Association for Feature Reporting and Children's Programming, she was also recognized with the NEA Horace Mann Friend of Education Award, and by the Missouri State Teachers Association for excellence in education reporting. Melissa has also earned awards from the Arkansas Associated Press for Investigative Reporting, and by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters.

Melissa is a proud graduate of the University of Kansas (Go Jayhawks!).
