Miriam Zamorano brings you your daily traffic reports on WINK News This Morning on WINK and CW6, and again in the evening on WINK News from 5 to 6 p.m. You may also recognize her voice on your drive to and from work on the radio delivering traffic reports on WINK 96.9.
Miriam is no stranger to WINK. She joined the news team in November of 2005 as an Associate Producer and before stepping in front of the camera, she held a number of producing positions starting with the launch of the weekend 8 a.m. Show in august of 2006. She also produced the weekday 5 a.m. Show and assisted with WINK's Eye On Education as a field producer.
Before arriving at WINK, Miriam gained experience behind the scenes while working in production for the Travel Channel and as a Production Assistant on FOX Sports' “The Best Damn Sports Show Period”.
Miriam's first on hands experience with news was while interning at the Miami bureau for FOX News Network where she was able to cover a number of Florida stories. She caught the broadcasting bug as a child, watching her father hit the airwaves on various Spanish radio stations in New England.
When not keeping an eye on the roads, Miriam likes to spend time outdoors. She also enjoys running, jet skiing, traveling, music, and practicing her Spanish, but most of all she loves spending time with her family, friends, and fiancé.
Miriam was born and raised in Connecticut and while she is a true New Englander at heart, she enjoys all Southwest Florida has to offer including its beautiful beaches!
Miriam graduated from Barry University where she earned her bachelor's degree majoring in communications with a minor in journalism.
